INTRODUCTION

The Master of Systems Engineering programme is the signature Masters Programme at the Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Malaya. It is designed to provide an interdisciplinary advanced level programme in Electrical Engineering encompassing a wide range of Engineering Systems principles. This programme is targeted at graduates of Engineering and Science degrees who are keen to improve their real world knowledge in relevant expertise required to compete in today’s ever evolving technological landscape. We believe in providing strong fundamentals to our students, through delivery of core courses in Data Analytics, Machine Learning and Systems Analysis & Design. Students are then allowed to select from a wide range of specialized electives related to sustainable energy technologies, information & communication technologies, cyberphysical systems, and integrated micro/nano electronics. These also include a range of industry-relevant courses such as Green Energy systems, Wireless Communication Systems, Industrial Automation & Robotics, and Human Factor & Work Management. Lectures are conducted through a blend of physical and online deliveries, and complemented by a hands-on laboratory component.

Towards the end of their studies, students will be able to undertake a research project under the supervision of highly recognised authorities in their fields of research.  At the end of the programme, our graduates from this programme will be well equipped with deep technical knowledge on engineering systems which will allow them to tackle real world engineering problems in a deep and highly proactive manner.
