Course Title: High Voltage Engineering

Course Description: Students will be introduced to phenomena of breakdown in gases, liquids and solid dielectrics, partial discharge, overvoltages and transient recovery voltage. Student will also be taught on the generation of DC, AC and impulse voltages and high voltage bushing design. Various types of insulation materials, cable insulation, application of insulating materials and techniques of condition based monitoring are exposed to students in this course.
